PRDIS- NIAM Value Chain Based Entrepreneurship Development Programmes

PRDIS- in collaboration with Chaudhary Charan Singh National Institute of Agriculture Marketing (NIAM), Jaipur, has organized four training porgrammes on

  1. “Value Chain Based Entrepreneurship Development for Improving the Livelihoods of Chilli Cultivating Farmer of SC/ST Communities in Khammam District of Telangana State”.
  2. “Value Chain Based Entrepreneurship Development” for Improving the Livelihoods of Cotton Cultivating Farmers of SC/ST Communities in Mahaboobnagar District of Telangana State”.
  3. “Value Chain Based Entrepreneurship Development for Improving the Livelihoods of Vegetable Cultivating Farm Women of SC/ST Communities in Ranga Reddy District of Telangana State”.
  4. “Value chain based entrepreneurship development for improving the livelihoods of the Millet cultivating farming of SC/ST communities at Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh state”.

Each programme was organized for 3 days for 30 selected members in the selected areas. They were all taught about latest IPM, INM and sustainable agricultural technologies for reduction in cost of cultivation, productivity enhancement and increase in the income. In addition imparted knowledge on market led Extension, Post-harvest, value addition of the produce and organized exposure visits to market yards, commercial processing units. The trained participants were issued a certificate to avail subsidy for their agribusiness initiatives.

This initiative will be helpful to improve the whole farm income and the livelihoods of farmers and youth.
