Consultants And Faculty

The following professionals (key staff) are associated with PRDIS and are engaged either on full-time or part-time basis.


Prof. S.Venku Reddy M.Sc (Agril), Ph.D; has over three decades of vast experience in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development. He worked in various positions as Professor. Advisor and Consultant to different organizations including World Bank. He has been instrumental in initiating participatory approaches (VLPA) in Africa with success. He has gained lot of insights into Rural Development Programmes while associating with Agricultural Extension and Rural Development Programmes in India and East Africa. He has National and International experience concerning Natural Resource Management and Rural Livelihood Programmes. As a Professor and Head of Extension Education Institute, ANGRAU, he had organized number of State and National level workshops, seminars and training programmes as well as monitored number of Government sponsored rural development programmes. Besides, he has also undertaken number of large-scale impact assessment and evaluation studies sponsored by different donors. At present, he is the Principal Investigator of the FAO sponsored Integrated Pest Management Programmes and also the coordinator for District Level Monitoring of Rural Development programmes.

Prof. S.Jayarama Reddy M.Sc (Ag), Ph.D; is a Communication Specialist. He was formerly coordinator of Planning & Monitoring cell, and Evaluation Unit, ANGR Agricultural University. He is also a law graduate and trained Journalist. He has more than two and half decades of experience in teaching, research and extension in addition to documentation and process monitoring. He has organized a number of state level extension training programmes, seminars, workshops and kisan mela exhibitions and acted as a liaison between the Agricultural University and other educational institutions in India and abroad including the Commonwealth Universities. He has rich experience in coordinating the university activities with particular reference to rendering technical advices to the farmers through Plant Health Clinic, documentation and process monitoring.

Dr. M.N. Reddy Served in Agriculture Dept., as Agriculture Officer in Government of AP from 1976 to 1979. Then joined in Agriculture University and served as Professor till 1997. From 1998 worked as Director, MANAGE, a Government of India Unit in Ministry of Agriculture upto 2010. From 2011 worked as Sr. Agriculture Consultant in the World Bank assisted Water Sector Improvement Project in Telangana State for about 5 years. At present he is consultant with PRDIS. Having worked in different organizations in different capacities, have abundant experience in training and capacity building in agriculture in general and water management issues in particular and has been instrumental in bringing out the reforms like ATMA.

Dr. M. Suryamani, a retired director of Extension Education Institute, GoI. She is a Specialist in Participatory Methodologies. She has undertaken number of evaluation studies through postgraduate student’s research. She has three and half decades of experience in Training, Research and Management of programmes connected with Agricultural Extension and Rural Development. She has practical experience of initiating and organizing several Training of Facilitators and Farmer Field School programmes, process monitoring and studies using participatory approaches (PRA and VLPA). She was associated with Integrated Pest Management, Seed village and Biotechnology Programmes.

Dr.C.Beena, Dy. Director, Academic staff College, Osmania University is a Resource Member of PRDIS. She is a Social Scientist with considerable experience in process monitoring gender, socially disadvantaged groups, managing self-help groups and entrepreneurship developmental issues.

Mr. K.Subba Reddy, Finance Officer has two decade of services in financial Management. He is working as operations Head of PRDIS -DDU-GKY Skill Development Centre.

Mr. Upender Reddy M.Sc (Agril. Extension), is a consultant. He was a retired, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla parishad of Mahabubnagar, and Medak. At present involved in Better Cotton Supply chain, liaisoning government officials/ schemes, organizing workshops related to livelihoods etc.

A. Sreelakshmi M.Sc (H.Sc), B.Ed, Consultant, PRDIS is a postgraduate in Child Development. She has rich experience in coordination, planning, implementation and valuation of various developmental projects which includes Productivity Enhancement Programmes, Entrepreneur Skill Development Programmes, member in monitoring and evaluation teams for the last 10 years. At present she is coordinating Better Cotton Initiatives programme, and specialized in Decent Work. Trained as ToT for Better Cotton Initiative and Entrepreneurship programmes. Earlier worked as Research Associate dealt with Gender Issues in NATP project at National Academy of Agriculture Research Management, Hyderabad,Rajendranar.

Mr.B.V.R.Murthy is a consultant cum Agriculture Specialist for 40 years for the GoI. He was a coordinator cum facilitator for the season long ToT on cotton crop supported by FAO.He has very rich experience on management aspects of all field crops including cotton. He has been consultant cum advisor for the BCI programme of PRDIS for the last 4 years and accredited trainer of BCI.

Mrs. V.K.Prasanti.M. MSW, MBA (HR) , is a Social Scientist working from past 10 years in PRDIS as Young Professional of CAPART, GoI and Monitoring & Evaluation officer helping in process, concurrent, mid-term and Impact Evaluation. She has experience in participatory Methodology including FGDs.

Mrs. C. Sarika , Agriculture Specialist and Coordinator of Sustainable Chillie initiative in Guntur, Khammam with about 13000 farmers supported by IDH and also connected with Spice Board of India E-spice bazar programme.

Mr.Praveen Virigi (M.S.W), is a consultant. He is a state level coordinator for Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programmes sponsored by MSME,GoI. Besides, , involved in filed level programmes. Earlier, he was a Young Professional of CAPART, GoI.

Mr.Arun Kumar, is a Diploma holder in Agriculture. He has been involved in supporting the Extension activities of PRDIS programmes

Mr. K. Venkat Rao , M.Sc (Ag) and P.G. Diploma in Agriculture Marketing Management is a Consultant of PRDIS. He has been instrumental in developing sector. He has been providing input on Agri-clinic and Agri-business training Course and also field extension work including watershed.

Mr. M. Naresh Kumar ,a Post Graduate in Science is a MIS Head in PRDIS – DDU- GKY programme. He is computer literate. He also has good knowledge in Monitoring water Resources. In the past he worked with watershed programmes as Technical Officer.

Mr. Koti Reddy , is a H.R. Manager and placement expert in PRDIS – DDU -GKY programme. He provides linkages between companies and trained candidates for providing employment. He is also expert in mobilization.

Mr. P. Narendra Babu , is a Graduate in Computer Science with knowledge in ICT application. He is assisting PRDIS in suing ICT & remote servicing technologies for crop production a green phone app is developed with package of practices for different crops to enable farmers to enter the date on costs of cultivation as well as monitoring progress through learning.

Mr. M. Ghandhi , Consultant, Field Level Monitoring of Rural Development Programme in action. He has supervised Micro Irrigation 3rd Part Monitoring in A.P.

Mr. Nagi Reddy , Consultant, is an Agriculture graduate with 3 decades of experience in sales and marketing of agriculture inputs. Besides, member in evaluating team of APMIP projects.
